    A sheer matte lipstick-meets-hydrating balm that delivers the iconic Bouche Mordue—or “just-bitten lips”—look in one step. The unique, moisturizing formula blends seamlessly into lips, diffusing color for a soft-focus, blurred finish that feels effortlessly French. Swipe once for a natural flush, or layer to build color payoff. Formulated with smoothing emollients, soft-focus powders, and botanical Lapacho Tree Extract, Bisou Balm helps hydrate lips while minimizing the appearance of fine lines. The result: sheer, buildable color with a soft-focus blur—like you’ve just been kissed.

    Violette's Inspiration: “In France, after the red lipstick, our favorite lip look is called 'bouche mordue' (just-bitten lips). To achieve it, we apply lip balm, add a touch of lipstick, and then kiss a tissue to remove excess shine, so it looks more like our natural lips. Bisou Balm leaves behind *just* the right amount of pigment and comes in the most delicious colors, inspired by the traditional French candies of my childhood."

    Recommended use

    Swipe Bisou Balm onto bare lips, applying just beyond the natural lip line. Layer up to three coats depending on the desired pigment.

    For very dry lips, moisturize before applying.

      Should I prep my lips before using Bisou Balm?

      Bisou Balm is a matte formula. We suggest priming your lips before usage with a traditional lip balm and letting the moisture sink in for a few minutes before applying Bisou Balm.

        "Love Love love Bisou Balms. They're so comfortable on the lips. For a matte lipsticks they're not drying at all, in fact quite the opposite. Colours are builable, give lovely blurry effect and the application is so effortless, no need for a mirror, perfect for on the go. I have 5 shades of Bisou Balms and Mon Chéri is my favourite, followed closely by Chocolat💙"
